What's up gang! This week was a good week! Nothing crazy but its good. Let’s hop into it
April 21st
Today we met Efa, a member and his family who are all members. We met with them to discuss the temple and to hopefully get them ready for a temple trip soon to do baptisms for the dead. While we were there, we also had family home evening and that was awesome! Bekila also came! Hopefully he keeps coming to things he's a very busy man.

We had exchanges today with the elders in Beklobet. Beklobet is where the very first branch in Ethiopia was formed. (The first church of our religion for those not of my faith) and it is pretty cool. Both the Elders came here because of the fuel problem. You always go up to the higher ups area. And so, it was a great exchange! I learned quite a bit about taking the lead.

It was a pretty good day! We had a lesson with a pastor here. I am not usually found of those types of discussions because of past experiences... however! This time around it went well. He speaks petty good English and is a very intelligent man. His name is shadow. Next, we had an online lesson with our friends in Gambella. It was a big group lesson, which was good and fun! We wish we were still there. However, for now this will have to do as the gas and energy crisis is getting bigger and it is not safe for us to be physically there.

Today we met a guy named Bobby! He seems to like us a lot and after we ate lunch we met with him. After we were done meeting with him, we told him we had another appointment and needed to leave. but then he said, “I will come with you”. That was an interesting proposal, but we just ran with it. However, the person we were going to visit named Efa and his family mostly speak Ormo it ended up being a good thing. Because Bobby could help us translate. It was a little miracle for today. After our appointment he continued with us speaking English and ended up spending the whole day with us. Very nice guy! Very popular as well hahaha

Holllllyyyyyy packed day! Today we had a very busy day with member visits, finding and teachings. It was an amazing week of work this week! This made it go by pretty fast and was fun! We also taught institute for a full hour in Amharic.... the gift of tongues pulled up for that one 🙏🙏. Then after institute we taught our Gambella group via zoom, per usual! This is a very interesting time in Ethiopia for a missionary.

Slow Sunday. I won't lie Sundays are pretty hard here because after church and 2nd hour, not a lot of people want to meet for another hour with you... had a small problem that had to be fixed and so hopefully it did. And after that it was accounting with my favorite AP AYELE!!!!!! IF you all remember he was my first companion and we went through a lot together. (He hates being AP but I find it funny (but anyway it was a really good accounting session, and I haven't had one like that in a minute! Then we went home and hung out.
If you want to reach out, I’d love it! I’d love to hear from all of you! The work is progressing and I love it and we will see what happens. Don't do anything stupid or that I wouldn’t do! So yes, you can be arrested ;)
Have a blessed week!!!!
