What’s up, gang! This week was pretty normal and honestly kind of boring lol, but it’s chill. Let’s dive in

Sep 22nd

Many lessons, and lots of them with members who were present, so that was good. And we also went finding for a while and found those Nature Valley bars 😍😍. They are so nice. Not exactly what we were truly trying to find. But hey, we will take it. 😊

Sep 23rd

Normal day, lots of findings. We had a lesson with one of our recent converts and taught him more about the priesthood. We are hoping that he will be ready to be ordained sometime in the next week or two.

Sep 24

I had an exchange with Elder Wall, one of our District Leaders. That was a highlight, and I enjoyed it! We began the exchange with one of our members and then went out finding.

Sep 25

Hype day! We went and talked with one of our members, Geda, at her shop. She's really nice, and they asked a lot about me. People here are interested in how I ended up in America and how I came back to Ethiopia. When they ask, I will tell them my long adoption story lol... kind of need to stop telling it. People get sad and start to feel bad for me. That is interesting. I do not feel sad. Maybe it is because life is so hard and difficult here, and my story is a reminder of that. Then we had a movie night in our branch. It was lit.

Normal day of finding! Nothing here to really report.

Sep 27th

Normal Sunday. I play the piano for my branch every week, so that’s... fun. At night, now that I am AP, I spend a lot of time with paperwork and accounting. On Sunday night, everyone calls in, and we have to finish our accounting numbers, and then we end every Sunday evening with the “Miracle Call”. All of the missionaries in the entire mission and our Mission Leaders are on this call, via Zoom. Everyone has a chance to talk about a miracle that they saw or experienced that week. It is usually a very uplifting opportunity to listen and share. Miracle call where we share miracles

Sep 28th

P-Day AGAIN! How does it come around so fast??? Low-key just hanging out today; Elder Van and I are really going to focus on a diet (I know, in Africa!) while we are together and just enjoy the work! It’s super fun.

Welp, that’s all! Like I said, nothing crazy this week!
