You may ask yourself, “what the heck is this title? Light work no reaction.” If ya know ya know hahahaha this week was amazing let's jump in.

Jan 20th

I went on an adventure today! It was quite fun. There is a member who lives out in the middle of nowhere and invited us over. She was amazing, and we went to see her and teach her a lesson. We unfortunately will not be going back again because the Mission President got mad, and we went there. I told him we wouldn't do it again. Sometimes it's hard to put your foot down when it's two against 1! But our friend said she would come to us now. It is a weird scenario. She's in another area but she wants to come to Ayat and to us cause its easier for her. Also, the other place with the member I'm never going back there.... never want to as it was quite out of our area and probably somewhere we shouldn't be. However, when we were out there, we met this amazing guy named Zelalem, which means eternal. Seeing as how we won’t be going back again to that area, I guess that pretty much ended the day! I have my first ZL exchange tomorrow.

SPLITS! So today I went to the main chapel in Megananga. I went on splits with the District Leader in Megananga, who is actually my MTC buddy named Elder Evershed! He’s an amazing missionary and a great guy. We had such a successful day, and I got a glimpse of what office work looks like.... I don’t like it. But we found 2 people whom we will start teaching.  Being together with him was a blast! It’s weird though, me being his Zone leader, and we come from the same group.

TODAY WAS LOOOONNNGGG, but very successful! Today we put Heiwet on baptismal date, and she really loves our church. She is also very far and not in our area.... But it worked out. She may end up going to another Branch, but started with us and in our area, soshe has chosen to keep coming to our Branch.  However, that may change. After we went over and met with the Tuts family, who are from Gambella.  That is the area close to South Sudan.

Today wasn’t much. We tried going finding but it didn’t really work. It's really crazy. We went finding and nobody wanted to stop for us. They just kept walking and we didn't find anyone. We couldn't even have a 2-minute convo with someone. Tomorrow, we have a lot of lessons, so hopefully they will show up!

Today was good! We had 2 lessons! One said they don’t believe in anything but Jesus Christ. Not even prophets.... yeah.... so that lesson ended quickly. But it's ok. My Amharic has been showing up, and it’s been really nice just being able to speak and understand.

Church was great! Our attendance was great! Hewit came! Which was awesome. We taught her a little after, and then we went to our new member’s house! He lives kind of far, so we just walked back talking. It was nice. But that was pretty much it. Every Sunday, I have a lot of accounting and leadership responsibilities to complete.  This takes me some time to accomplish.  But I enjoy it and try to do my best to be a good Zone Leader.

It is P-Day.  Not much, just hanging out. Washing clothes and that’s about it.

This weekend in my mission, the youth from the Bishoftu and Addis AbabaDistricts were presented with this year's theme, "Walk with Me". The youth leaders helped organize and taught the youth who look forward to learning more this year.

Love you all! I appreciate you! You’re all amazing and can’t wait to email next week!
