What’s popping gang! Hope you are all well! And I hope you all know I love you, as always! I almost forgot to write this email but just like my streak on gospel library I must keep this streak alive 😎🔥🔥 but lowkey just a meh week but we can hop into it nonetheless

July 28th

Today was Zone conference! I love zone conferences! Because we get a mental reset and a spiritual reset it’s amazing, they also increased the budget for ZC meals which meant that we were able to have an amazing meal with the mission leaders and all our zone. (By Ethiopian standards 😊) 😋😋😋 One other change that we saw with the new mission leaders is that now we will have the entire zone conference and then have our meal.  Before we used the meal as a break and honestly, it was difficult after taking the break and eating to focus back on the work.  I like this new plan much better.   I can still say that the new mission leaders are still in evaluation mode, and we have not seen a lot of changes yet.  Although they say they are coming.  So, wait and see what awaits Ethiopia

July 29th

Today we had some lessons with a few of our friends. We are still working with a few people to get them ready for baptism.  We met with our friend Surafi, although we might need to stop meeting with him sadly, but I love the guy he's really nice.  We also spent a few hours out finding people to teach.

July 30th

Today was pretty chill! We had a member visit with our RC million who we have been trying to meet with and get to come back to church, he is usually at work, so I was glad to see him! After that I translated for the goat Elder van dam in Italy (shout out B-Town boys! ) When I was finished with this, I crashed because I was so tired.

July 31st

Today was awesome! We had some members visit with our strongest members! We met with one of the members who is 8, we refer to them as a child of record.  She will be baptized soon, and we have been working with her on this.  She asked that I do the baptism.  I am hoping that I do not get transferred next week so that I am able to perform the baptism for her. Elder Lucas and I taught her the importance of this ordinance.

A short video of some of my past pictures set to Ethiopia music.

August 1st

How the heck is it August?  Life is really moving on.  It may be August, but it was a pretty chill day! We were out tracting and met 3 people that are interested in meeting with us.  We will see how that goes. It was awesome and they were all nice and excepting of the gospel!

August 2nd

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALI!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I hope it treated you well!

This Sunday was good.  We had some people from the Beklobet branch presidency come and see how we were, it was nice! The church in Ethiopia is still working on boundaries as far as living boundaries and having people go to church where they live, like the rest of the church in the world.  The church is so small here and so new that sometimes people will branch/group hop and go where they want, or where it is convenient at the time. We are working on this as we need to build strength in each of the branches and that can be best accomplished if we can get some stability every Sunday.  We have some big obstacles that we work with here that affect this. Transportation, money, food, etc. Overall, it was a good Sunday, we prepared some other things for the mission and then accounted so we can call in numbers tonight.

August 3rd

P-day which meant we got to take a nap.  Although, I woke up way too early and talked to my good friend Tate who is serving in Korea. (another shout out to the B-town gang) and just did my thing, studied a bit and ate food.  We spend more time in our apartment on P-day than usual, so it is nice to have some down time.

Well, that’s all everybody! Not a lot happened but this week is MLC and transfers so we will see what’s up (chances of me leaving are like 2%) But I won’t be surprised if Elder Lucas gets transferred which will be sad as we get along so well.   Love u all! Don't do stupid things! Please!
