Happy Mother's Day!

Alright I am going to start this email shouting out all the moms!! You guys are awesome! Love you all! Especially my mom, she's awesome and I’ll always love her!! ❤️

This week was good! Let’s dive in 

May 5th

It was a pretty good day! Our friend Bobby is struggling with being baptized twice. Because he was baptized in a different faith and he has not grasped the concept of baptism with correct authority.  I’m about to pull a staff (old missionary) and tell him his baptism was wrong, just to see what happens. (Actually, maybe I won’t do that 😊) We are still teaching lessons over zoom with people in Gambella.  We had a few lessons today. Then we hung out with the goat Paulos! He’s a member here and we like his company.

May 6th 

Today… another amazing day!  We were out walking and we found this amazing family and also had a member visit!  We had someone that tried to buy the Book of Mormon from me! That lead to an entire conversation, and we made her day when we just gave her a copy.

May 7th

Zone conference was today and it was GREAT!   Lowkey, really nice to be there! It helped me a lot with some hints about how to be a better leader and missionary. It was really nice, I feel like I’m getting better at understanding people's needs which will help me in life as well as a missionary. They we had to rush out of there to get a taxi back to Burayu.  This week we have had pretty good luck finding taxis that have gas and we hope that this continues.  We finally made it home and slept! 

May 8th

Today was pretty dang good. We had some real luck finding some people that are interested in the lessons.  We had a bommmmbbb lesson with our new friend Fiqera! He’s really nice and loved what we were saying 🤞. We taught English and went to Karen's to teach them more about the Book for Mormon.

May 9th

Pretty good day! We had a lesson in the morning with an awesome dad named Bayessa. He’s a physics teacher and we have had some good conversations with him. After that we went table finding hahaha. We set out a table and made the people come to us! 

May 10th

Really nice Sunday we had 30 people come to church. This was actually a big number because a bunch of our big families were missing! So almost 40 would have been if they showed up! This area is on the up!  Beka 

May 11th

It is P-day!  We mostly just hang out; I am going to study my Amharic and more of the scriptures. Went through a killer workout with elder Yelberton this morning. He’s chill if you get to know him.  

Another shout out to the mothers! Or the women who always felt like a second mom to me! You know who you are!
