What's up ቤተሰብ

I Hope everyone is doing well and that you are striving in whatever it is you want.

Here's my week- This a short email because our last P-day was Thursday, but we have a P-day today (Monday)because we leave on Wednesday, and they want us to get on the regular Monday P-day schedule.

October 9

Today was a really good P-day, I got to call home and hang out all day, night classes went by really fast which was nice. Only a couple more days before I struggle for the next 3-6 months figuring out how to speak Amharic for real…hahahah we will see how it goes

October 10

Today we learned a veeeerrryy important grammar lesson that will help us a lot. My class and I filmed a video for the next set of missionaries so they know they can learn the language! Our last day of class is tomorrow! There are 26 of us leaving for Ethiopia. Unfortunately, my companion is going back to serve in Zimbabwe for a time while he waits for his Visa. As I understand it, the Zimbabwe President did something that the Ethiopian president did not like and therefore there is more scrutiny happening to those trying to get visas into Ethiopia. We all hope that it is only one transfer in Zimbabwe and then he is able to come meet us all. We also have an Ethiopian Sister who also has not been able to get a visa into the country where she is going. So, she will be going back to Ethiopia with all of us and serving there until she gets her visa.

October 11

Today was awesome! Technically it was our last day of class, but I think we will do something more just for the heck of it. Tomorrow is our last Sunday, and it feels weird because I don’t know how to feel rapping up the MTC, I've been here for so long (9 weeks!). Tonight, our teacher bought us pizza and snuck it in as a celebration!  It was good and we thanked him so much for it!

October 12

Sunday! Great day but slow and nothing to report

Peace out family and friends! I love you all, you’re the best and I can’t believe I've already been a missionary for two months! Time flies and it makes me realize I don’t have a lot of time in Ethiopia, and I need to preach the gospel as much as I can. If you’re thinking of a mission, on a mission, or just at home, don’t think your testimony isn't important, you should share it with as many people as you can!

This is a video that I did for the Wonderful Sister Morris my seminary teacher at Bountiful High.

Next Email will come from Ethiopia.  I leave Ghana on Wednesday, and I am so ready.
