Hello everybody!

I am going to start with I love you all! I appreciate all of you and want all the best for you! Especially my family.

This week was pretty good nothing crazy bad.... that's a lie my district leader continues to be a challenge but sadly I'm not going to touch on the subject and let bridges stay and not burn down, so it's whatever. That means I am learning to deal with it. We watched Elder Andersons devotional and let me tell you it was amazing!

Me and Elder and Sister Brown. They are counselors here at the Ghana MTC. They also happen to be from Bountiful and are good friends of the Lemmons my neighbors.

I went to the temple; I love the temple so much! This week one of the temple workers came up to me and told me that if I wanted to, I could listen to the endowment session in Amharic. He told me that they mostly use the language headphones for the French speakers but that if I wanted I could have them and listen in Amharic. I told my district about this, and they were all less than excited about this. But not me! I told them, we already know what is being said, I am going to listen in Amharic and use the opportunity to help me with my language training.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SISTER MARRISA!

We started language learning officially and it was really good! As I said last week, up until this point we had done some language training but most of our days and lessons were gospel studying. Today we had missionaries arrive that will be learning French, and they will leave before me. I realized when I heard this that Amharic really is a difficult language learn. However, another interesting thing to note is I have two roommates from the Ivory Coast. They speak French and are going to English speaking countries for their mission (Ghana). They will be here 9 weeks just like me. Apparently, learning English is considered difficult as well. I got to go to the temple again today and I love it! We did Sealings to families and it was really sweet. I have been very blessed to go to the temple so much while I have been here. The temple will be closing for a while shortly and I will not be able to go during this time.

Aug 31!

I taught Elders Quorum on Sunday; this is the Sunday School part of our church that the men go to! I think it went pretty well but I still think I have a lot of work to do. It was really nice to teach and talk about our Redeemer and Savior Jesus Christ. The Elders told me it's the first lesson they didn't want to fall asleep in which was a HUGEEEE good sign that I did good. The Sunday devotional was good! We were taught to be the messengers of Christ and reminded that someone is always watching. I liked it.

WAKE UP!!!! ITS THE FIRST OF THE MONTH! September has arrived. Full Amharic immersion has started and it's hard but good. It's been a really good day, but my stomach is killing me. Not because of the food but because I have been so nervous about learning the language and it is hard! I hope that I will get less stressed about it.

This is the cafeteria. I took pictures today instead of eating.

Today was honestly really hard. We turned the Amharic up from a 4 to a 7. Out of nowhere we had to teach a full lesson in Amharic, and I stressed and didn't eat dinner which wasn't good but it's what happened. It's hard but it's always a blessing! I'm here to preach the word and I will get it!!! Some of the elders got their hair cut. I am a little nervous about doing that as it seems like the barber only has one style......shave off the sides and REALLY short on the top. I may wait until Ethiopia to get it cut if I can stand my sides getting longer.

OK I've calmed down on the language and taught a lesson. I can tell I'm getting a lot better because I can switch into Amharic if I need to! But it's still hard! Another week down!!!

I love you all

Today tomorrow and forever!!!!!
